Typical Fused Deposition Modeling Process

  1. Additive Manufacturing

The additive is extruded in the form of layers. The final object is made by basically fusing the layers together.

  1. Melting

To squeeze out the layers from the 3D printer, the material is first melted by heating the nozzle using electric resistance coils.

  1. Fusing

The molten material is carefully fused with the existing layers in order to make the output as robust and sturdy as the end product is expected to be.
